The four salts of Traspatio Maya are different and each one follows a special formation process. These are collected under sustainable processes that protect and safeguard the biocultural heritage of the region. Unlike commercial salts, Traspatio Maya salts do not contain iodine or chlorine and are 100% natural in origin. Although Traspatio Maya salts are collected in the locality of Celestún, they are packaged by a group of women from the community of Dzidzilché, Yucatán. The harvesting and collection of salt takes place from March to June. Naturally, in the month of January, the ponds begin to dehydrate, which promotes the formation of salts.
