Huipil Grecas

$3,685.00 MXN

Wear a typical regional outfit with this huipil blouse that displays patterns in the form of embroidered Greek frets in cross stitch. This technique is rescued by Maya women from the peninsula who exalt these artisanal traditions inherited from generation to generation.

Hand embroidery originated in pre-Hispanic times in Mexico and transformed during the Colonial period, when the technique of cross-stitch was learned from Spanish women. This technique is used to embroider elements of nature in bright colors.
